What Happens at Your Cryostar Consultation?
Your practitioner will discuss the area you would like to treat and assess whether its shape and tissue are suited to this type of body contouring. They will ask about relevant medical conditions, medication, previous procedures and how your skin responds to cold. What Should I Expect After Treatment?
Cryostar does not involve surgery, so many clients can return to their usual activities soon afterwards. The treated area may temporarily feel sensitive or numb, and redness, swelling or bruising can occur. Visible changes, if achieved, usually take time to develop. Your practitioner will explain aftercare, when to review your progress and when to contact the clinic about a concern.

What is Cryostar Fat Freezing?
Cryostar is the temperature-based body-contouring treatment offered at NewLife Aesthetics. It is used to address selected areas of localised fat without surgery. “Cryolipolysis” is a term commonly used for fat-reduction procedures that use controlled cooling. Is Cryostar Fat Freezing a weight-loss treatment?
No. Cryostar is offered for body contouring in specific areas, rather than overall weight loss or treatment of obesity. Your weight may not change even if you notice a difference in the contour of a treated area. Which areas can be assessed for Cryostar treatment?
The clinic’s current treatment list includes the chin, abdomen, flanks, inner or outer thighs and arms. Whether a particular area can be treated depends on its size, tissue characteristics, skin condition and your medical history. We assess the area in person before recommending treatment or a course of sessions.
How many Cryostar sessions might I need?
There is no single number that suits everyone. When might I notice a change after fat freezing?

Does Cryostar hurt, and is there downtime?
Sensations vary. You may feel cold or discomfort in the treated area, and temporary redness, tenderness, swelling, bruising or altered sensation can occur after cold-based body-contouring procedures. There is no surgical recovery period, and many clients resume their usual activities afterwards. Your practitioner will explain the aftercare relevant to the procedure you receive.
Who may not be suitable for cold-based fat reduction?
It is not suitable for everyone. Tell the practitioner about conditions triggered by cold, poor circulation in the proposed treatment area, a hernia or previous surgery nearby, current skin problems, medication and any other relevant medical history. Your practitioner will assess suitability for the clinic’s specific Cryostar procedure and explain when treatment should be avoided or postponed. Are there risks beyond temporary redness or bruising?
Cold-based body-contouring procedures can have less common complications, including persistent changes in sensation or skin injury. A rare complication reported with cryolipolysis is paradoxical adipose hyperplasia, in which the treated area becomes larger rather than smaller. Ask your practitioner to explain the risks relevant to the exact device and protocol used at NewLife Aesthetics before consenting to treatment.
Can Cryostar treat cellulite or loose skin?
Cellulite, skin laxity and a localised area of fat are different concerns. We would first assess which is most relevant to you, rather than assume the same treatment will address them all. If the appearance of cellulite or skin texture is your main concern, we may discuss LPG Endermologie Infinity as a separate option, subject to suitability.
